The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash prize of ₹58 crore for the Indian cricket team following their Champions Trophy 2025 victory. India secured the title with a four-wicket win over New Zealand in the final, held in Dubai on March 9.
BCCI Recognizes Team India’s Excellence
BCCI President Roger Binny praised the team’s back-to-back ICC title wins, emphasizing their dominance on the world stage.
“Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special, and this reward recognizes Team India’s dedication and excellence on the global stage,” Binny stated.
He also highlighted India’s success at all levels, including the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup triumph earlier in 2025, which showcases the country’s strong cricketing system.
Champions Trophy Prize Money Breakdown
The International Cricket Council (ICC) had already announced a cash prize of $2.24 million (approximately ₹18.6 crore) for the winners. Additionally, teams received $34,000 for each match won, except for the semi-finals and finals. The total Champions Trophy 2025 prize pool was $6.9 million, marking a 53% increase from the 2017 edition.
